I have made quite a few changes to my osc 2.3 site over the last 18 months and as I am a newbie, I failed to log all of the changes I made and probably messed up a few files along the way.

I have tries to load the modular front page add on to my site but cannot get it to run nor can I find where the problem is. (I have posted on the appropriate thread and tho' very helpful - still can't find the problem.

I want to completely upgrade the look of the site and suspect the best way to do this (and get rid of any problems I might have caused during previous changes) is to start with a fresh install and add on the modules I want to get the site looking right.

I need to have the current site running all of the time while doing this and figured that rather than keep changing the live site on a piecemeal basis it would be best to make all the changes I need then simply load up the completed new site.

Is there software which i can use on my windows desktop to see my osc site as it will be when uploaded to my host server?

Any help will be much appreciated thank you.

James

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
