My host server is ipage.com and my domain is cabinetspros.com. I installed oscommerce on cabinetspros.com/os in ipage's cpanel. I am sure the oscommerce is installed there as I can log into the administrator's section on cabinetspros.com/os/admin. But I found that whatever the changes I made on the oscommerce's administrator's there is nothing changed on the webpage of cabinetspros.com. I couldn't figure out where the problem is but guess it could be the folder problem or something else? I am totally a newbie to database and shopping cart. Would appreciate it if someone could figure out the problem for me.

@tempoart

Your site would be at http://cabinetspros.com/os/

it has been loaded into a sub-directory

OK. I've installed the OSC in the root directory. Will I need to do something on the MySQL, such as adding a database?

@tempoart

You originally ran the installer, so the database should already be set up.

Your store is already at cabinetspros.com/index.php

You need to remove the index.html file that is in the root too (not the .php but the .html)

Your admin is at cabinetspros.com/admin_folder_name

I deleted every index.html file in the subdirectories under root. But the website still displays the original homepage. Confusing.

It's not about any index.html file in any subdirectory

It's about the one index.html file in the root of your installation
