Hello
Please Help me - I just finished my shop www.netshop4all.dk, but if the customer completes their purchase comes following message:
The website was an error retrieving http://www.netshop4all.dk/catalog/shopping_cart.php. It may be under maintenance or configured incorrectly.
what have I done wrong or need to install??
I hope to hear from you pretty quickly, please .....

You have 'whitespace' on the shopping_cart.php file.

I don't think that's correct chris.

shopping_cart.php loads fine so long as there is nothing in the cart .. this suggests that the file is ok.

When the cart is populated the 500 error is triggered.

I would suggest that the original poster turns off gzip compression in admin then runs the page again to see if any helpful errors are generated ( compression often hides these ).

Failing that they should check the error log as 500 errors are notoriously non descript.

You have to close all browsers to depopulate the cart then go to ..

I suspect that the populated shopping cart is trying to include a file, which does not exist on the server.
Something like that anyway.

I tried as you suggested @ DunWeb, but without result. Now comes the error message also when I add an item to the shopping cart ....

I still can't see the site using FF13.0 but it does come up with IE 9.08, however I get a 500 Internal server error with IE on the shopping_cart.php page.

I suggest checking each file to ensure they are correct.  Ensure you only open and edit your PHP files with a text editor.

I too was having a problem with my site when a certian page opens. What i was advised to try was to change

error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE); in includes/application_top

to

error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_STRICT);

This showed lots of errors. Once these were sorted the site worked as it should. The error i was getting was caused by another page which was trying to call something that was not there. I had not fully removed an addon.
REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
I am not a coder, so dont bother sending PMs asking for help as you wont get any.  

OSC has a steep learning curve, but in general the program does work.  If it doesnt work, the chances are it is something you have done.

Its helped me solve many silly problems, most of them my fault.
