OsCommerce is installed by my webhotel. The only available language is US English, and I want to change this to Swedish.
All topics relating to this are referring to a file structure similar to "/catalog/includes/languages/ or /catalog/admin/includes/languages/, but there is no folder called catalog or includes. My file structure has the top folder "OM", which is containing Config, Core, Custom, External, Tests and Work folder.

Inside /core/site/admin/languages there is an en_US folder and an en_US.php file.Attached File  oscomm2.tiff   127.4K   2 downloads I added the downloaded add-on Swedish folder and swedish.php file. Well, nothing happened. I still only have the en_US option when administrating OsCommerce under application->configuration->languages.

I have no clue. Maybe I need to pay someone to fix my online store

Your webhost has installed v3 which is not for production use by non-developers.

You need to nuke it, and install 2.3.1
Dummies guide to designing osCommerce 2.3 Click Me

Or maybe a ready made theme for your shop ??

@cdresor

That is not a stable version of osCommerce.

@cdresor

Actually,  If you check the download page on this website, you will see it clearly states:

"Note: osCommerce Online Merchant v3.0 is currently in development and does not yet contain the same user-end features that v2.3 has. This release is recommended for developers and users who are participating in its development and are providing feedback."

If you installed this from a One Click installer offered by your hosting provider, you should inform them of the above to prevent countless others from installing the developers release by mistake.

Thanks!
Actually I told them, and they replied that they will look into this tomorrow and make necessary changes. I can“t avoid thinking if my (lack of understanding about the) problem actually should make me understand it is too difficult for me to set up an e-sale site. Although I have good stuff to sell :thumbsup:
Cheers,
Karsten

@cdresor

Actually, if you download v2.3.1 and read the documentation it is quite easy to install and this forum is a GREAT means of advice and support.

My web hotel downgrader to 2.3.1, and it seems much easier I must admit. I am working on trying to get it to work.....and yes, this forum seems to be great!
