Please help me with layout issue in v 3

Can somebody please help me
im sure this simple - but I can't work it out
i want to set the categories box at a fixed width so it doesn't move when the browser is resized


this image explains what im trying to do
(except I wrote height instead of width - im quite sleepy)

V3.x is NOT STABLE as George mentioned in your other post.  DO NOT USE IT !


Download and install v2.3.1 for a production site.

And you'll probably be hard pressed to do what you are asking no matter what version you use.
If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
