Hi there
I am having to move my hosting site to a new server. I am presently using version 2.2rc2a.1 for my site. Now moving the site my only option with my host is version 2.3.1.
I understand one option I have is to do a manual install of version 2.2rc2a.2 and copy my template over and away I go (done it before). Now, if I installed version 2.3.1 and integrated my template what upgrades do I actually do and or can I simply backup the present database and import it and "bob's your uncle"?
I am a little bit lost here for the moment. I just need to be clear what my true options are for a clean install opportunity, due to some compatability issues?
Thanks
Andy

@Wizbits
There are database differences between RC2a and v2.3.1 so you cannot import your existing database into the new one. However, you can integrate it manually, making changes as needed.
I suggest that if your current RC2a site is secure, functional and profitable that you just move it to the new hosting account.
