Changing the main / homepage of OSC to subcategory

I got two main category's, If customers come on the site I need the homepage to display the first category so that on the mainpage all the sub-category's in the first category are visible.
Customers no default to the the welcome and ne products, that's not what I want.

Basic question is: home need to link to cat1 so that the subcat1, subcat2, subcat3 are visible.

Is ther anyone who can help with that?
