Hi
i'm trying to create a pet store with a search box but when I do it an orange box comes up underneath that links to advanced search but I do not want that there. I just want the basic search bar. can anyone help?
I have managed to get rid of the other text that was there!

First off, you are using an out-dated version of osCommerce
Secondly, you are using STS with that out-dated version of osCommerce.
Third, you are a web design business with NO experience using osCommerce, therefore you should not be offering it as a service. If you provide your client with a out-dated, insecure website using a no longer supported Template system, your customer should be pissed off !

Stop providing services with out dated version of osCommerce to your clients. This will results in loss of business and client's faith.

i'm not offering oscommerce ecommerce designb service to clients, i am learning it, i offer ecommerce via paypal only at the moment, i will update he oscommerce script, i didnt know sts was available for newere scripts

STS is not available for 2.3.1 oscommerce, which is a good thing.
2.3.1 is based mainly around the 960 grid system.
Both the blog of @burt and the blog of @multimixer have tutorials on 960 <> osCommerce.
