You are using an outdated version of osCommerce.

Download and install v 2.3.1, and start over.

@elderofatlantis

First off, you are using an out-dated version of osCommerce

Secondly, you are using STS with that out-dated version of osCommerce.

Third, you are a web design business with NO experience using osCommerce, therefore you should not be offering it as a service.  If you provide your client with a out-dated, insecure website using a no longer supported Template system, your customer should be pissed off !

@elderofatlantis

Burton and Chris are right.

Stop providing services with out dated version of osCommerce to your clients. This will results in loss of business and client's faith.

You make a new 2.3.1 install.

STS is not available for 2.3.1 oscommerce, which is a good thing.

2.3.1 is based mainly around the 960 grid system.

Both the blog of @burt and the blog of @multimixer have tutorials on 960 <> osCommerce.
