Help! My website is no longer processing my Authorize.net credit card charges or going to PayPal express. Oddly Check/Cash works.  Been working fine for a year.  When credit card selected just gives the standard process error and when PayPal selected, it loops back to the Shopping Cart page.

Only thing that has changed recently is that my Website Host moved my site to a new dedicated server and gave me a new address.

Would this cause the problem?  What should i try now to fix? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks,
Tiffany

@epwork

An IP address change would not effect your payment processing.  However, a PATH change will if you have not updated your configure.php files.

I have not made any changes to my configure.php files, since didn't know i had to.  But this may be the problem because i have another site that is WordPress and having similar issues. They must have changed my PATH and did not inform me of the new one. Ugh!   Thank you for the info.

@epwork

It is the only thing that comes to mind as they contain actual server information.

@DunWeb

I updated configure.php in my Admin/Includes and that didn't resolve the problem unfortunately.  I'm getting an debug email from PayPal   $HTTP_POST_VARS:  $HTTP_GET_VARS: It's all related to this problem I'm sure.  Seen somewhere maybe related to cURL, but not sure how.

It's like my site is blocked from connecting with external sources - i couldn't even get the osCommerce Version Check to connect "Could not connect to the osCommerce website to check for new versions."

I've got a support ticket in at my web host, but after hours last night they still couldn't figure it out.  Very frustrating.

@epwork

I would suggest then that your hosting server has closed ports.  This will need to be corrected by your hosting provider.

@DunWeb

So my hosting provider does not have the list of opened ports I previously had. They want me to reply with the "correct ports, protocol (UDP or TCP) and direction (Incoming or Outgoing) you want opened on your dedicated IP"   ugh!

Since this was automatically set for me before, is there a resource that lists what i would need for my oscommerce site generally?

Well, they say they didn't change the ports yet and with no explanation why, it's working again - they say it's "just some anomaly".   Which is not very comforting to not know what happened, but at least my site(s) are communicating and transactions are going through on all levels again.

Thanks for your all your suggestions @DunWeb you're the best!!!

Funny how all hosting providers say the same thing when something is thier fault and they won't admin it.

Glad you got it working.

If all of the pages [previously] no longer working are under SSL, perhaps the problem was that something needed updating in the SSL certificate? Private SSL certificates usually involve a fixed, dedicated IP address... did that change as part of this process? Maybe the host said "oops" and quickly fixed the certificate? Or (more forgivably), they notified some central certifcate authority about the change, and it took a while to work its way through the system? Just some random thoughts, in case this happens to someone else in the future.
