Send email to another email when customer places a order

when a customer purchases a product can a email be CCed to another email account?

Yes, in admin under MY STORE enter the extra emails in this line: Send Extra Order Emails To

do I have to use this format Name 1 <email@address1>,
or just email@email.com

do I have to put Nmae 1 and put brackets< email@aaa.com>

You could also try the pending order email contrib http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7830 for 2.2 or http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7831 for 2.3

I use it, very easy to install. I get the Paypal email and a copy of the customer order email
