Hello,

I have just installed OsCommerce 2.3.1. How do you change the url of the store from example.com/catalog to example.com, so that visitors can see the webshop when they visit the homepage. Basically, I don't want the visitors having to type /catalog or to create a separate homepage with a link to /catalog.

Thank you.

Couldn't you (at your domain hosts website eg:1&1.co.uk) simply direct your homepage url to url/catalog?

Just a suggestion.......don't trust me completely :blink:

@femalegreenuser

You are correct if the hosting provider offers the service, if they do not, then @marcoverheiden would have to add an .htaccess redirect or an HTML landing page linking to the /catalog directory.

The alternative is to move the installation into the /root directory.
