Does anyone know how i can put an image or a solid background behind the text on my login.php page.

I dont want to lose my current background, i want it to look like this from the logoff.php page.

I cant do it the same way since in the logoff.php the text+image is just one solid image i put in.

Below is my login.php page. I just want to put all of it (minus the continue button) on top of another solid image, or color.

Sorry, can't help on this one but you really need to get your images to load quicker.

Do you want to apply that appearance site wide, or do you only want to apply it to that one page? You don't ever need to use images for background colors. The time would be better invested learning .css

Here is a modified stock login page that should do what you want. you'll have to adjust for any modifications you've already made.

Your adding a wrapper div around the whole page, and a div to clear the two sides (the equivalent of a return button for divs) so that the wrapper will expand around the whole thing.

If you want this background sitewide, it takes one code change (to a different page) and it will apply site wide.

@fulluvscents Thank you so much! This is exactly what i needed. There still seems to be a problem, when i put in the new code. on the page i get this error:
