Hi

I am using oscommerce 2.3.1 for a customer's website and the hosting company don't have a clue

I am getting these errors

The files are in a public_html folder

How do I correct the error

I am tempted to move to my hosting company, never had this trouble with my hosting company

Thanks in advance

Ian

check the password for mysql database, have you grant the permission for user to access the mysql database?
Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!
8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.
Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.
Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

Hi web-project

I have just checked the password, its the correct one for the mysql database

I did that by going into includes/configure.php, is that right

It's weird cause when i was setting oscommerce up, it tested the connection to the database successfully

Ian,

The nice thing about mysql errors is that they are very self-explanitory. It says you aren't using a password when trying to connect to the db. You need to check your configure.php files to make sure the correct info is in them and that it also matches the info in the hosting sites control panel.

The php errors are just simple parse errors in the mentioned files. That doesn't have anything to do with the hosting company.

Hi mattj83

i checked the configure.php in the includes folder and the configure.php in the admin/includes folder and both have a password in the file and is the correct info and matches the info that i set up in the control panel earlier on today

Kind regards

Ian
