hi, I have had reports of my customers not being able to see a payment method available. I went through and changed my CC to not 0 and I asked a freinfd to go in and buy something. It worked for him on IE but the other guy on firefox was still unable to see a shipping method or payment method. I have also seen customers register but didn't buy anything so I am thinking that this is happening to them as well.

This is not good! has anyone seen this? what can I do to fix it?

also, I do have a tare weight of 1 and a product weight of .4 on a specific item so weight, should be fine.

You are not the only one suffering from this issue.  There is another member who is also not able to access the payment modules.  That member is using v2.2, can you confirm you too as using v2.2 ??

yes I am 2.2 rc2a

I had found something that related to cleanliness of all of the modules and sort order but I am uncertain as to whether or not it worked. I have cleaned it all up but, I dont know if it is OK. I can't, it has always been fine on my side, so unless I can get someone to log in, I can't tell if it works! Kinda stupid if you ask me!

udate: UI just had a customer using chrome that could not see the payment method, shipping was fine. Also, yesterdays customer was on firefox. I am using firefox for development and it seems to be ok on my machine. I have had 2 people using internet explorer that it works ok.

update.... for those that have this novice issue in the future.... and I was schooled by mr. geoffrywalton, it's because you have a zone set up. This is different from the payment zone that paypal uses in their site. At least.... in osCommerce, your zone is "where" you will sell. Not tax zone.... two very differnt things.....

You can use zone to control how 3 things are applied

Taxes to delivery address

Delivery charges to delivery address

Payment method available to specific delivery addresses.

So some zones are used to calculate tax to be charged and others if they can use a cetain payment method or what delivery methods/charges they can select from.
