Hi, I've been running a successful OCS shop for the last 6 years but today the shop has decided to reverd to all the default flat rate shipping charges and no moatter what I do I can't make the database accept my charges. I'm only shipping to UK addresses but they are split into 5 zones - does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening and how I can force the database to see the changes that I'm making. Hope that this makes sense - Any help would be really appreciated :)

@sue ruscillo,

If it WAS working and is now NOT working, that means something has changed. In your scenario I am going to suggest that your hosting provider has upgated the SQL server software and now your database work function properly.

thanks for your comment. The host did some work to help me out but now I'm left with the problems that I'm unable to change the carriage rates. From time to time we offer free carriage is there any php page that I can easily edit to make these changes?

@sue ruscillo,

Shipping rates are normally defined from the admin area under modules>> shipping. I doubt it is a coded change, however if you originally had changes made to the shipping methods, you may have to have them changed again.

Chris

ps. Your hosting provider is not a website developer. I would never let them make changes to your website.

The host has suggested that the introduction of the Mailbeez contribution has made the shop unstable and that now it's fixed I should not try to amend shipping charges in the future as I will create the same problem when I revert to default shipping settings for the USA - is it save to remove Mailbeezx without causing any damage? Here is what the guy who repaired the shop said:

"MAILBEEZ" (showed a general error usually related incompatible data for newer databases, which could be the root of why it will not save the shipping config??!?). The data the would not import is pasted to the end of this email.

DO NOT ALTER THE SHIPPING AGAIN - IT WILL NOT SAVE!

There were masses of error messages - is it simpler just to uninstall the contribution?
