I'm wondering how to add a new field to the manufacturers tab. So when I add or edit one of my manufacturers I want to be able to included special comments about the manufacturer that will show up on every product detail page pertaining to that manufacturer. What is the easiest way to do this?

Use phpmyadmn to add a new field to the manufacturers table, then update the /admin/includes/manufactures.php to allow that field to be editied.
