Hello guys,
I just wanted to say that OsCommerce v3 cannot be installed via Softaculous but is ok if do it manually by uploading the files to server.
You may want to look into it.
I have informed Softaculous as well.

Unless you're a developer don't install any version of V3 yet.
If you want a working store use v2.3.1
If you want a working store use v2.3.1
If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

Nikos,
According to that website, their one click installer uses v2.3.1 NOT v3.0.2.
Since v2.3.1 is the latest stable release, they are providing the proper version.

Hello again,
I am not using as a live store, just to see what is in this new version.
Chris, what your website are you referring? The Softaculous on my server shows it as V3.02.
Thanks

Nikos,
Read it on thier website here. It clearly states v2.3.1.
v3.0.2 is NOT complete and NOT functional. Unless you are looking to make development submissions, then there is no reason to install it. More than likely, we won't be seeing a stable release of 3.0.2 for another year.

Nikos,
It is just a guess based on the development teams current rate of progress.

And if you read on, it clearly states that:
osCommerce3 osCommerce is an online shop e-commerce solution that offers a wide range of out-of-the-box features that allows online stores to be setup fairly quickly with ease, and is available for free as an Open Source based solution.
Version : 3.0.2
Seems like Softaculous supports both 2.3.1 amd 3.0.2, without letting people know that 3.0.2 is not a fully functioning store. Or is it?

Please ask Softaculous to take down their osC 3 install and offer only osC 2.3.1. In their defense, they probably put it up there before osC finally got around to putting a warning on the osC 3 page that it's for development only.
