I have searched through the forums and the contribs for a way to automatically update an order with the UPS tracking number but have come up empty.

We use UPS Worldship. We use the UPS XML Import contrib to pass info to UPS for auto label creation. Once UPS processes the shipment, a tracking number is assigned. Customer ID and Order ID are stored in the reference 1 and 2 fields on the Worldship history record. Is there a way to 'export' shipping history for a given day from UPS Worldship and, using the Customer ID and Order ID values, update a record in osCommerce? Preferrably in the Orders table because we have a custom field in that table we'd like to use.

Can anyone make a recommendation?

Thanks.

I do not believe there is a contribution for this.

You would first have to check with ups to see if external users can interogae their system.

Hello,

Look at a product call ShipWorks (www.shipworks.com). We use it for both handling OSC and Ebay orders. You can do all of your work from the desktop. Really awesome software, if you do any type of volume it will save time. You can view all orders, print invoices, shipping tags, and it then will update the site with tracking info, plus send your customer the tracking.

Thanks for the ShipWorks suggestion but we already have an automated process for generating UPS labels from osCommerce, so we're not looking to recreate the wheel. Just trying to find a way to update osCommerce with the tracking numbers that are assigned...
