error on installation of v3.0.2

Hi i have uploaded all the files to me server location...

then went to
http://www.your-server.com/oscommerce

i then get the following error..


Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING or '(' in /home/jungle2j/public_html/oscommerce/index.php on line 9

Any ideas as to what has gone wrong and how to fix it..

Murad,

v3.0.2 is a DEVELOPERS release and is not ready for production use. It also requires PHP 5.3+ to operate.

I get this error when I click that URL:

Server not found







Firefox can't find the server at www.heresaquartercallsomeonewhocares.com.





Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com

No version of V3 is a full stable shop, they are all developer release versions.

The latest stable fully function shop is version 2.3.1

That has been suggested many times.

Although the general consensus seems to be if you held your breath until that happens it would probably prove fatal.
