"Do't Trust OS Commerce - Malware Infections are Deadly." only cause incorrectly been installed some modules and used unsecured hosting services, my clients using the oscommerce for several years and never had a single issue.

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.
