Hi

I was looking at my account today specifically

analytics - traffic sources - ad versions

and the figures here do not match the number given for this ad in the adwords control panel

for example the analytics figures say this ad has received 5070visits

but in adwords it says this ad was clicked 8250 times in the same period

does anyone have an explanation for this? or has anyone experienced this?

We ran into this before too. :)

Here is google's explanation that I found before. Might be why: http://adwords.googl...n&answer=140828

Hi

I'm not convinced re their explanation. From what I understand, in the link they say analytics visits should be higher than adwords clicks if anything.

If that was the case I wouldn't be bothered

The clicks that are measured in adwords can be around 30% more than the visits registered in analytics. At least in my case.

Are your adwords clicks higher than analytics visits? or the other way around like in the link?

Sorry. I think I read your original post incorrectly. Thought it was the other way around.

For us, analytics number is always higher than adwords. Usually in the range of 10-20%.
