Does submitting to directories alone and getting back link alone will help your site to rank well in any search engines. Assuming the site have lot of text contents and optimized to be search engine friendly.


I ask this because I read lot of post in this forum and other webmaster forums, when someone asking how to rank well in search engine and get traffic to your site I always see the reply of most webmasters that "submit your site to directories" or "Get as much back link as you can"

Hi as an online freelancer I am currently using this two technique in gaining web traffic for a clients site, this linkbuilding and directory submission is the cheapest yet effective way to be making a certain site pushing up ranking in google! I have been an seo freelancer contractor but the best thing in this two technique is that we could used the directory submitted of a competitor and submit more to overrun his ranking which I personally witnessed it.

Obviously, it is an important part of SEO to submit your website into directories. I am also using this technique to get traffic and I have positive results for my website.
