HI all

I was told 3.0.2 is not fully operational but that was a few months back.

Is it ready yet?

Trouble is I cant get 2.3.1 working due to error messages that I have posted in the install/configuration section.

Thanks all!

John,

v3.0.2 is not production ready. The download is still just the framework.

I can't believe that 3.x is not yet production ready ... I have been waiting for it since 2007.

C'mon osC team, get your fingers out - this is hardly anthropological evolution we're talking here - even dinosaurs evolved into birds and mammals faster than this.

I'm getting sick of the hackers getting into my 2.2 RC installs but have held off upgrading in the hope that 3.x Gold would be released this summer. As it has not been, I'm going to have to rapidly retrain and go with Magento Community version, and hope to pick up commercial contracts based on that rather than osC - there are certainly a lot more high dollar contracts being floated for that than for osC ... and the opinion of peers and myself is that it is solely down to the extremely long lead time for the v3.x osC final build.

Sorry Harald, but osC has gone Betamax while the rest of the world is on Blu-Ray and HD

You can easily go to v2.3.1 while waiting for v3.x. OR, you can easily clean and secure your RC2a site to prevent hackers from obtaining access to it.

Well.. that explains why I was having trouble getting it 'installed' ...

I unzipped the package and it was like 'whola.. Im lost just looking at the data unpacking'

oscommerce, or osCommerce, which one is 'root' or is it public? heh.. I think I might install 2.3.x to get a 'fresh' install over my old 2.1/2.2 install.. its old, needs a refresh.. was hoping for 3.x ...
