Please pardon my ignorance, but I'm quite new at this. I need to upload a PDF for our customers to download, and then I need to figure out how to let them download it after they've paid for it.

This is a PDF copy of one of our books that they can purchase and have sent to them, but we'd like for them to be able to see that there's a PDF version available for immediate download should they prefer to do that.

I'm sorry to say that I'm not certain where to start, except that I've enable downloading already.

We are using Version 2.2. What am I missing?

Thanks, all.

Flo

Flo,

You aren't missing anything.  Enabled Product Downloads in the admin area under configuration>> downloads if it isn't already enabled and then set the attributes for the download file.  Once that is done, upload the PDF to the /downloads directory of you server.

That's it.

Thanks, Chris! I'll give this a try. Should I presume that once the file's uploaded a link will appear?

Flo,

Once you set the attribute file name, the link will appear after the download is approved.

OK, I think I can't get to the /downloads directory from where I am. At least, I don't see anything that lets me upload anything to that directory or any other. Maybe I'm in the wrong spot?

Thanks, again.
