Hi All..

The forum software has been upgraded to its latest version and introduces a new theme and improved functionality.

There is a current problem regarding avatars in the sense that the forum no longer distinguishes between avatars and profile photos ;- there's now just profile photos. Some profiles are displaying a missing profile image which we're looking into.

The forum logo is also going to be replaced with a new white osCommerce logo. This should be ready tomorrow.

If other problems are encountered, please report them in this topic.

Thanks!

The PHP tags strip all formatting and blank lines from the code. Makes it pretty hard to read anything more than a few lines of code.

This one. I fixed the second code block manually, then gave up. The code was pasted from Eclipse, where indents are done with spaces. It changed all the indents and removed all blank lines.

Regards
Jim

Edit: I'm also not getting any notification of replies here.

Sorry to step in here...

But I can't find a link for our watched topics.

Or is that feature gone?

Hi All..

There seems to be a bug with the notifications. Can others confirm if they are receiving any or not for their watched topics/forums?

Hi All..

The solution to not receiving notifications can be solved by clicking on your name on the top right of the page, My Settings, then Notifications Options. There you can define which delivery method you would like to be notified with.

Thank you Harald for pointing that out.

Guess I shouldn't be nervous and just go exploring links...

I've lost the dropdown on the bottom of each page for navigation between boards - the quick navigation is very slow to open and when it does you can only access half the boards - the rest are below the bottom of the browser window

Quick summary:
Browsing between the forum boards take 2-3 times longer than on the old board
The only way to get to this board is to go back to osC Support forum link then scroll down and click

Notifications started working again. Maybe checking the settings is enough, or maybe there was just a delay.

Any chance of getting another theme choice? The faint gray text in this one is unreadable.

Hi Jim..

Unlikely. This is the standard theme that comes with the forum software.

If you're interested in playing around with the CSS, please by all means go ahead and propose some improvements to make.

Hi All..

The process that parses profile avatars to profile photos has been run again with the latest update and it seems to have fixed most of the missing photos. If there's a missing photo for your profile, please edit your profile and upload a new photo.

Thanks!

You probably want someone who's not colorblind to be making changes to the default theme. I can still do that, but don't expect the results to look good.

There are hundreds of themes available here, and many of them are free. It shouldn't take too much time to grab a few and put them up for the users to select from.

Hi Jim..

I didn't mean for you to create a new design, but to darken the text colours you find are too light. Want to take a shot at it? It can then be installed as a separate theme titled ForJim :) (as an honor, not as a joke)

Kind regards,

That I should be able to do. I'll go find the text specs and play with them. Firebug should make this easy.
