i have freshly installed oscommerce v2.2 and so is mvs latest version. i have successfully installed the addon but in the end i couldn't see the vendor manager. i have searched all the threads but noone have solved the problems of those people who have the same problem as mine. please for those who have found the answers, share it with us so we could resolve these issues. and for those who know the answers, please lead and guide us to find the links and knowledge. thank you in advance for the great help!

Admin >> Vendors >> Vendor Manager. If it's not there, you did something wrong. Did you make all of the changes necessary to upgrade MVS from osC 2.2x to 2.3x?

It helps if you use the MVS support thread rather than creating another new post in the general forum. I don't always see new posts, so you may not get an answer. Consider yourself lucky this time.

thank you very much for responding jim! you are right i should have posted this to the mvs support thread.

i haven't upgraded my osC to v2.3 so i don't think i need to upgrade it the mvs also. i have been jumped from one ecommerce platform to another searching for this mvs feature. and now that i have found it, it is not working. it feels terrible! i actually fell in love with oscmax but the version i have doesn't support yet mvs. i have to wait for the upgraded version 2.6, which they say will be a regular feature of the platform itself.

wish me luck..i am now posting this to the mvs support thread. i couldn't give up on this again.

Oops, I read that as 2.3. My bad.

If the entire Vendors box isn't showing up, you probably missed the change to admin/includes/column_left.php. If the link is missing from the box, look in admin/includes/boxes/vendors.php. The latter shouldn't happen as that's a complete new box.

Oscmax is just osCommerce with a bunch of Addons already included. You can get the same thing by adding the ones you need to your copy of osC. It's usually better to just add the ones you need rather than try to use somebody else's collection.

i have solved it...YES!  i have missed the 1.2 modified files. i have them all overwritten using filezilla and presto...when i opened the admin...vendors is there with the vendor manager. jim you are right, i have missed something. i haven't followed the installation instructions properly.

The instructions are long and complex because MVS is large and complex. That's why a missed file is always my first guess with something like this. Glad to hear you got it working.
