Hi,

Just wondering what the best plugin to use is for SEO urls?

I am building a new webshop and want to make sure from the off that it is has as good a chance in search engines as any other websites.

I know that SEO urls are not a huge factor in SEO but it shouldnt harm should it?

Thanks

Just changing the urls will help but not a great deal. See my signature for the SEO related contributions I recommend, including a url rewriter.

Dear Friends,

I hope someone can give me a tip.

I would like to turn on the "use search engine safe url's" in my shop.

But when I do this the URL of the pop up image is also changed, so the pop-up image is not reconised.

the pop up should be : http://www.myshop.com/popup_image.php?pID=429

but is changed to : http://www.myshop.com/popup_image.php/pID/429

who can help me fix this ? or has a push in the right direction.

thanks
Richard

Turn off "use search engine safe url's" again

and install a SEO Url add-on like Ultimate SEO Urls instead.

Hi my store is with the Oscmax lastest version 2.5 which has inbuild SEO url ( its using Seo Urls 5) but one expert says not to use this one Oscommerce ( Ultimate Seo Urls v2.7) guess what happened the site all gone i dont know what happened.

I am trying to get the store www.raxday.com (oscmax2.5) product should be without product id (NO special product id in url) SEO url means when i click at the product the product url should be without the product id.

When i click at the product - the correct url should be without any product id in between character like this -c-1.html

http://www.raxday.com/nokia-6600-p-7.html -- incorrect url -- this should be the correct url http://www.raxday.com/nokia-6600.html

The final out put should be www.mydomain.com/product-name.html

Can any one help here in forum to get this done.

many thanks
Finn

It's against forum rules to offer support for non-oscommerce shops. You should ask in the support forums for oscMax.
