OK, I've set up an OSC store for my client. This is the first time I've used OSC but feel I've had great success customizing and figuring out it's inner workings to a reasonable extent. I have a real problem though. The test of API credentials for PayPal says everything is fine BUT if I try a test purchase the transaction does not complete. I set up a widget I could buy on the site for $1.00. It adds to my cart just fine and when I checkout with PayPal it takes me to the PayPal interface as it should and shows the $1 widget and shipping cost. I sign into my PayPal account as instructed and approve the transaction and it sends me back to my cart as it should BUT NO transaction actually occurs on my PayPal account. I HAVE TO GET THIS WORKING. The client needs to sell product and I am stumped. Any and all help is gratefully appreciated and I will answer any and all questions in that attempt.

OK JUST GOT AN UPDATE: The PayPal debug sent me the following notice in my email if that helps.It sent me an email with the following:

$HTTP_POST_VARS:

$HTTP_GET_VARS:

osCsid=ac49e58a4f9d8a121b93aa927a6aa86a

Many regards and please help if you can,

R Ponder

Hi,

I assume you refer to PayPal express checkout. I have exactly the same problem. I searched through the net and german and english forums and there are several people with that issue. But I didn't find any solution. Most precise hint was from someone from paypal who looked into a case and found that the API call SetExpressCheckout is done but the subsequent GetExpressCheckout and DoExpressCheckout are not called.

I guess that either the whole API-call-thing in this case doesn't work on a unix/linux server but only on windows (maybe due to some case sensitivity) or there is some stupid setting that is wrong.

As I couldn't find a solution I chose to use paypal standard and that seems to work. Is good enough for me.

Bye
