I finally went live over the weekend and after fixing a few minor problems I think everything is working OK (knock on wood).

Any feedback would be appreciated.

My store site is http://www.sillytown.com/catalog/default.php
Home site is http://www.sillytown.com

Thanks!

I like it... it's nice and cheerfull.
Do think you should change the stylesheet for product listings (don't like the grey-blue default, doesn;t match your site)
and you should make the text "The #1 source for water balloon launchers and water balloon slingshots on the Internet!" a graphical one instead of text IMHO

using the same image for all 3 sizes of your products its not a good idea

if you are going to use just one picture dont shrink it using your browser. It looks bad. The original size is not that big..so... use just one size....just my 2cents..

I liked the site , nice bright fresh colours.

Maybe move the counter and date on the bottom to the top of the store ?

Thanks all for the feedback, it's nice to know people actually do read these posts. I'll keep working on the site and incorporate comments. It seems I'm changing something everyday anyways, as I read through the Tips and Tricks posts. :D

Excellent job, I actually smiled when I first saw the homepage which is an unusual event for me, so I reckon you have got the look and feel spot on!

I like the site, but at first glace I couldn't tell what type of site I was looking at, sales or information. I fell that there are too many words on the sales site making it seem more like an information site, like the ones that tell you how amazing their product is and to act now for the best deal of a lifetime. I hate those sites, like the ones selling wholesale information... I had to read down to the middle of the page to get to the products (I know its not much) but when I know what I want to buy I want to find it easy, right there in my face, like when your in the supermarket and all the good expensive cereal is right there at eye level. Also moving blinking things and maybe a sound or 2 might go well with the site, or mabe not. other than that, good job and it looks great.

I think it looks great - fresh and fun. Good job.

My comment would be to try to make the cartoon man dip into the main content area like you do on your main site. I personally like when barriers are broken, and more importantly, it keeps things consistent.

To do this I'd first use the same Silly Town logo that you use on the main page which is only 90 pixels high. Then I'd slice the picture of the man into three areas - one to go in the top, one to go in the breadcrumb bar, one to go below the breadcrumb bar.

I did something similar to an image. Look at the woman on the upper left here. Notice how she appears to be extending over the header...

Great colorful site. Looks great.

I am all over this site. I love it. :)

May I ask, how did you get the intermingling of images and text in the TEXT_MAIN section of default.php?

I am trying to pull out the proper coding through source code, but am having a dickens of a time translating that into my own TEXT_MAIN line in default.php. What does the TEXT_MAIN line look like in /includes/languages/english/default.php?

:(

Thanks!!!!
