I would like to clean up the image, language, etc files in my site and get rid of any that are not being used. Little timid since I do not want to remove anything I need. Any suggestions on a tool or instructions to do this would be helpful.

Kurt,

You can use this to clean up the unused images:

The language files should not need to be cleaned up, unless you have UNINSTALLED contributions but have not removed the language files or edits.

Chris -

Thanks for the info and suggestions.

2 things - the only language I show in admin is english which is the default language. In additional all contributions I have added - I never added to additional languages files. So would that matter any?

My clean up efforts are three fold:
I have a file quantity count restraint on my hosting which include main and sub domains.
Performance
Site simplicity (just not having junk around not being used).

Thanks

Kurt

Yes, it makes a difference. If you don't have a language declared in admin, you should not have files for it in either of the languages directories.
