Hello fellow oscommerce users (and fixers), I'm failing at two things (hah-related to oscommerce that is), I'm not able to find anything specifically related to the recent problem I'm having with oscommerce and I can't fix this problem by myself, please read my explanation.
I am running V2 (I think - I own and maintain website that has been running oscommerce for more than five years), anyway when I try to log into the oscommerce admin section of my site using IE 8, it says it can't display the webpage (not to be confused with "the page isn't found"), the address path that I've always used is (http://www.mysite.com/catalog/admin/), now it doesn't resolve, thats it, any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you have been using that URL for years to access you site and now can't, my first thought would be your site has been hacked. The whole idea of running an older version with all the security flaws still accessible would strongly support this idea.

Use your FTP to check the paths and files to see if they are intact. If they are and you are still having problems, check the permissions and your cpanel to ensure your server has not changed.

File Manager ? Did you say File Manager ? I hope your not referring to the file manager found in the oscommerce admin panel! If you are, you should read the security folders. File Manager was not nicknamed file MANGLER for nothing.
