Hi there,

I am a kinda newbie here. Some of my clients accept credit cards right on their web-sites. I mean their customers enter credit card details on their web-site pages and then OsC processes them using integrations with payment gateways. Taking in account the PCI-DSS deadline a merchant should migrate to a payment method where customers do not enter credit cards on his web-site or use a PA-DSS certified solution.

So my question is (and I am sorry if I missed this) - is there any PA-DSS compliant solution that integrates with OsCommerce? I don't think OsCommerce is going to be PA-DSS certified. It's a whole bunch of money someone is to pay.

You can use most of the larger payment processors like authorize.net , Paypal pro +++

But you will also have to ensure that the website and the web server/hosting environment is PCI compliant.

No payment module/system itself can avoid this .. as long as the info is transmitted via the website it needs to be PCI compliant.

There are some systems available out there which does it something like this:

1. a clone of your site design is made on their secure webserver.
2. when a customer goes to pay at your website he/she is actually sent to the payment providers server, but since the design is the same as your website most will not notice that.
3. when payment is completed the customer is sent back to your site.

Examples of this approach is cre payment. (They are just a "connector" stage and do not actually process your payment for you, you still need a payment gateway and a merchant account too)

If you dont want to use a "connector" system and can not get PCI compliant then choose another payment solution where the payment is done on the payment providers server, that is a service some of the payment gateway providers now offer too as an alternative to the on-site versions aswell as the oldies like PayPal and 2checkout ++++

I've just uploaded new version of X-Payments connector for osCommerce. This addon supports new X-Payments 1.0.2.
