Hi all..I've been lurking around here for several weeks, but I have one question that I can't seem to find here or anywhere else so I am asking the other Indiana oscommerce hosters.

My store will be online only where I will sell sports trading cards, magic the gathering cards, and comic books. More or less a collectibles store.

I have been reviewing the retail sales tax indiana laws and i understand that i have to fill out a bt-1 (i think that is the form???) to register my business with the state to collect sales tax. however, I am not sure what to do for the other states use tax stuff.

Are there any other states that are required to have sales tax that i would need to submit use tax for?

any help you could give or some good sites to help out would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

you are only to charge sales tax to customers receiving delivery of your product in the state your business is registered in.
ie: you sell to me in california .. no tax
your neighbor in Indiana buys from your store .. they pay the Indiana state sales tax rate.
osC will do this automatically once you set up the tax rate/zone for Indiana..
It will only charge tax to customers registered with an Indiana address.
I hope that answers your question ;)
