I have been an osCommerce user for a couple of years and have been very happy with it. I have recently begun a new site with a friend of mine, but he is partial to wordpress with an e-commerce plug-in. I have snooped around and googled all over to find a nice comparison between the two and I haven't really been able to find anything concrete in favor of one over the other.
Does anyone have experience with both of these? If so, could you share your opinion as to which one you prefer and why?
Our site is going sell video downloads and it's critical to have a nice, "artsy" look and feel. We will probably have fewer than 100 products.
Any opinions or thoughts will be appreciated!
Thanks

We did a site using WP + WP eCommerce in its early days. It was not very SSL friendly. In fact the site we did (now offline) was the first site to get SSL working with the Authorize.net module.
Things have improved since then but to be honest I would not call it a areal eCommerce solution. It is more a shopping cart than eCommerce. Better than other WP alternatives but not the potential of osCommerce.
