hi all,

i would like to know how to always show the main and sub categories in my column_left.php as at the moment you cant see if a category has any subs in it?

im sure its a small code but i cant seem to find it, i have checked on the various addons and have been unable to find one that is suitable.

also after this has been achieved i would like to change the style of the sub categories so that the main is bold and the sub is not to distinguish the two.

any help is this matter is greatly welcome.
