I amtrying to password protect the admin folder. When I go to c/panel then to the catalog - admin, right click on the folder (admin) and choose password protect folder. Then a window opens say cant password protect because Frontpage Extensions are being used. Disable the extensions. Have been trying to figure out how to disable frontpage extensions. Do I need to have my host disable them or am I able to do it myself.

That should be something you can enable/disable via cPanel (it works that way on the site I manage).

If you can't find it open a support ticket with your host.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
