At present the whole country is charged the same rate for shipping
In admin-modules-shipping I've got:
Region 1 States/Countries
California
Region 1 Shipping Table
30:8.95,75:10.95,150:16.95,400:21.95,10000:25.95
Region 2 States/Countries
Alabama,Arizona,Arkansas,California,Colorado,Connecticut,Delaware
etc....
In database we got
zone_id zone_country_id zone_code zone_name
1 223 AL Alabama
2 223 AK Alaska
..... and so on
Now the big question is can i delete all these zone codes and zone names and insert our own country's(ZA) towns and postal codes to use with this shipping module(nearly 2000)?
What tells the shipping module to use zone name or zone code meaning when the customer enters their shipping address - what information is selected to use States/Countries entry
It would be a big, huge help if someone could explain this to me as I completely don't understand the shipping part
