I'm looking at setting up an e-commerce with using Lunarpages as my hosting solution and OsCommerce as my chopping cart solution. My clients will mostly be Japanese and before I sign up with the hosting company I need to make sure that OsCommerce supports the following:

1- Japanese text input
2- Displaying the cart UI and any messages in Japanese
3- Users can select to have the cart in a language other than Japanese

The Hosting provider thinks OsCommerce can do all of the above but can't give me a 100% guarantee.

From what I've read on the forums I think everything is OK but I would like someone with first-hand knowledge to confirm this for me

Yes, the code will support Japanese but you have to install a Japanese language pack module first. You can find that in the Addons section (see the above menu).

Great! Thanks for the quick response. I'm new to the whole shopping cart thing and just want to confirm that with the language packs installed it will be possible for me to dynamically change the cart's display language according to the user's preferences?

I'll go have a look a the add-on forum now to learn where I can find the Japanese language pack!

Hum ... just did a quick search for the keyword 'Japan' and 'Japanese' in the v3|Add-on|Language and came up with no hits ...

Where can I find the language pack and information on it?
