instalation of os template

im trying to install my oscommerce website. following appears,

FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!

there is no sign of php.ini in public_html

please guide me!

its probaly one of the free templates of the net and most are out of date

in default template me didnt find php.ini file
plz tell me where that file is placed??
if this file is not present in default template then how can install that template??

when we try on local machine there is an error occur in second step that is
"A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond"

our setting is
Please enter the database server information:

Database Server:

Hostame: localhost

Username:root

Password:

Database Name:shop

Persistent connections(nothing)

Session Storage: Files Database

Try to install a clean Oscommerce and check if you have the same problems

on top of my index page following massage appears,

what is right permission?

Check again username, password and database name for the database you have created before

PS previous post got edited during I was writing, so my answer makes no sense now. There was an error "not able to connect to database"
