Another bug, in the editor when you post code that contains http:// etc the forum insists on turning it into a link, thereby messing up the code u posted, anyway stopping this behaviour?

I also note if I want to edit a post, I always have to press 'edit' twice!!

Hi Ken..

If you need to correct/update your status, submit a new status and it will replace your previous one. It is only possible to have 1 status at any given time.

Could someone please explain what the "open ID" is? I get an option to register an open ID each time I log in.

The openID website has a lot of information of what it is about.

Sorry if this has been mentioned already..I've notice since the new forum took affect that when you do an 'in-topic search' (on the lower left), the results don't get listed. For example on the 'master products thread' I did a search for 'missing pictures' which came up with 15 results, but none of them listed..

Overall, looks great, like some of the new features on the front page...

Something goes wrong there obviously. If you change the sorting with the drop-down 15 results are shown but they are not from the master products thread but from topics in the forum.

Why have all the links to the online documentation and knowledge base been removed?

Can't find it from the forums or clicking on Website above.

Then each thread takes 2 lines with a blank line above and below each one. Most of each "thread" line is blank and could easily be all on one line.

I also miss the name of the person who posted the thread as there are some Help Vampires who I avoid like the plague.

Since the new forum was installed the amount of time I spend on the forum has dropped dramatically and I must admit I now support other packages on other sites.

How fickle am I?

Any chance of getting more info on the visible page and the name of the original poster?

Hi All..

This forum has been upgraded today to the new IP.Board v3 series! This newer version greatly enhances community involvement and profiles over the previous version, and makes it easier for the team to moderate the forum. This upgrade allows us to push out further enhancements to community profiles in the near future based on the IP.Converge software used as a single-sign-on service.

A blogging entry will be posted in the coming days describing our plans on further enhancing community profiles.

If you are experiencing quirks with the forum, please make sure to clear your browser cache and try reproducing the problem again. It would be great if you could report back with your experiences of this upgrade.

Thanks, we're looking forward to your feedback!

Kind regards,

The upgrade was much needed and is very nice. More functionality and easier to use. What's the purpose of the "Reputation" in the upgrade. I think it needs to be removed in my opinion.

Hi All..

The Facebook Connect module has now been activated so it is possible to login using Facebook Connect and to link your Facebook account to your existing community profile. This can be done at:

My Settings -> Profile -> Manage Facebook Connect

It also seems possible to update the status updates here on the forum with those posted at Facebook.

Kind regards,

I have found a workaround for this, place the code delimiters first, then paste your code within them.

Is this a quirk or a feature? When I click on View New Content, the new content appears if there is new content. If I click on View New Content again because I have come back to the PC after a short interruption due to dealing with issues, the new content disappears just as it does when I click on mark all items as read.

This does not happen all the time, it just happens when I don't want it to.

Is anyone aware of the constant "Internal Server Error" everytime you go to post a reply in this forum? For those not aware of it, they end up trying again and then they have multiple posts of the same topic.

Is this being looked into?

So far I only got that error once after the upgrade and I don't recall what I was doing at that time (could be moving a topic or something like that).
I would expect this to be browser independent (I use mostly Safari 4.0.3 on OS X 10.5 at the moment) but maybe it isn't?

I've had it happen to me now about 5 or so times in the last week but I see it happening all over the place with other users (just look at all of the duplicate posts one after the other in the same thread). This started happening just after the forum upgrade.

I haven't tried FF yet but so far it happens on IE8.
