Hello,
I have the .com ( midave.com ) as my online store.
Should I register the .net and .org ( midave.net and midave.org ) too ?
Please advice.

The short answer is probably not.
The best next TLD to register is the applicable country-code.
The expansion of the root zone domains would be useless if every sub-domain was simply replicated.
If you believe you might at some point have a need for majorly different sites that semantically line up with a different TLD, you should consider it as a planing step... but even then you could also use sub-domains of your primary DNS host (internal.mysite.com,www.mysite.com, etc).

Another reason to register the other domains is if you think that someone else might want to use them for a competing product. However, this is not a problem for most osCommerce stores at the beginning. It is more likely to become a problem as you get more successful.
Always backup before making changes.

Greetings, Midave.
As cheap as domain registration is.
Perhaps in order to protect your primary domain name.
I went through allot of problems when I registered herbalrx.com and didn't understand protection.
Herbalrx.net was registered, turned out to be a very bad site, sent out allot of of evil spam of which I took much of the blame.
You should register an many as you can afford, especially .net, as .org is generally reserved for organizations.
Regards, Robert

You should not register your website into .net or .org because .com extension is very essential regarding as there is no loss of traffic, most memorable extension and more use in extension other than remaining extensions.
