Yes, I intend to change the code to use filter_id, but I still don't have the time to do that large of a change.

A suggestion:

in admin/categories.php it would be nice to have a drop down from the shipping table rate.
Thereby a shipping cost per individual product would be possible.

This shipping cost should then be displayed in catalog/product_info page.

And, when a customer add the product to the cart, the shipping cost should be there and be added to the order value. If the customers buy more products the shipping costs should sum up.

Hopefully this is could be done.

Man your fast, thanks for the update.

It seems that most of my filters are same as my values so i have added a new option on "Specifications in Group" option page. It will added new button for copying values for selected specification as filters for that specification. Before adding all the existing filters for that specification will be deleted. It can be easily modified so only missing values are added, not attamped yet.

All modifications are in attached text file.  copy_values_to_filters.txt   6.66K   1 downloads

@Juto -- That's a bit out of the capabilities of this Addon. However, you could use the Individual Shipping (IndivShip) Addon to do the shipping part. One of the shipping estimator addons, or a bit of added code, would do to display the shipping cost on the Products Info page.

@sanam -- Do whatever works for you. I'm not sure how many people have filters the same as values, but it would certainly be useful if you did. I'll take a look at this when I have some time. With all I have going right now ... don't hold your breath.

For a new store I just did a intallation of the latest products_specification package on a clean 2.3.1 installation.
(just copied over the files in the package and runned the SQL file.)

The trange thing is that the TABS doesnt closes on product_info.

I have this working on a old installation, but now i cant get it right.
I have tried to install it three times on a clean osc installation, but get problems with the tabs all the time.
Where have I done my misstake? =)

I haven't seen that one before. The tabs rely on jQuery and jQuery UI, so I would update both of those to the latest version. Check all of the boxes on the jQuery UI download page, as the tabs use some of those options.

On the existing installation i updated both jQuery and jQuery UI to the latest version, same problem.

To make sure i didnt do any error I also downloded a fresh copy of OSC2.3.1 and latest products_specification,copied files, made SQL changes.
Upgraged jQuery and jQuery UI - Same problem.

I tried Google Chrome, IE9 and mozilla, it works in Google Chrome and mozilla but not IE9.

In IE9, when i Click on eg Ask a Question tab, it redirects me to http://localhost/lg1/#tabs-10 = opens the sites startpage.
In Google Chrome and Mozilla it open the correct tab.

I'm not completely surprised. IE 9 has a lot of problems rendering pages correctly. From what you posted, it appears that the jQuery rewrite of the tab is not being performed, breaking the tab's link to its content.

I don't know of any fix for this, other than waiting for Microsoft to issue a service pack.

I solved the products_tabs error by rebuild the products_tabs.php from scratch with the help of a Jquery UI tabs template.
I also removed some tabs that I dont need.

I have no idea whats made the IE9 error, but now its working.

about the filter module, should it be visible over the product_listing?
I have the module above the slub-categories, but not above the prodcut_listing after you clicked on a sub-category.

I compared the produt_listing.php that is attached to the specification-package, and it is exactly the same as the stock version.
I gues it should be some differences?

the form in products_info.php is above the tabs - also "tell a friend works".

Strange, has anyone else suffered this problem and solved it? -

That works if you use the files supplied in the distribution package. If you have made changes by hand, check that you did not miss something or made a change in the wrong location.

I have some filters too long for drop down menu. I can divide these in 2 lines?

You'll probably have to use Javascript to do this. Native HTML/CSS does not seem to work inside a select option. I believe that jQuery has something that would work, so you might want to start there.

Dear All,

I'm trying to setting up my first webshop.
The installation of OsCommerce 2.3.1 was no problem, neither the translation package.

But now when I have installed the contribution "Product Specification" I find some trouble with the listing of Manufactures. Please see Attached file.

Do anyone know if there is a way to maybe have this "Filet box" in a side box like the cart. And if there is any way to have it on the same page as the product i listed.
