There's a crucial vote coming up in the next couple of days that may see net neutrality killed in Europe thanks to the British and French governments. La Quadrature du Net has the details; here's my letter:
I am an on-line trader and the issues regarding the internet as a cable package worries me. I use the Internet every day for work / shopping / socializing / banking / research / listening to music / talking to family and friends / travel arrangements / hobbies / etc.
As I understand it, there will be a vote on Tuesday April 21 on the Amendment 138. Unless it is supported I will not only be personally affected but the whole ethos of the Internet will be lost. Without 138: I risk being unable to freely use the Internet and will be significantly restricted because my ISP will be free to limit my access.
I want to ensure that this does not happen!
In today's connected society, the internet is vital both for the democratic conversation, socialising and business. A citizen's right. Please support Amendment 138.
Yours sincerely,
Dylin Sinclair
