New to this online store area. My store is not secure right now due to SSL issues and problems.

My understanding is I have to have an SSL to insure my site is safe correct?

I signed up through my website host for an SSL. They provided me with a CSR, then they tell me I must go to an authorizing authority and obtain a CRT. Anyone know where you can get the authorizing done cheaply?

Rapid SSL is probably the cheapest, just do a search.
