at this point, I'm really uncertain as to why it doesn't work for you - I have it working on 6 rc2a sites currently with no problem... sorry it's not working for you, I just don't know why it won't work for you.

Hey Scott,

I hope I don't get accused of bumping again, I just wanted to let you know, the contrib is working.

After deleting the flash files from the server, I reloaded them this morning.

Now everything is working fine.

Don't know what really happened, but its working.

I was woundering if there is a solution for the people who use STS and this contribution?
One user allready found one, but didn't shared his solution. He mentioned to put the javascript code in an external file.
Anyone an idea on how to do this?

Hiya,

I've just installed this today on 2 sites. The first one worked fine after a little fiddling (although the latest install instructions are not FULL). When getting to the end of the second install I have came across a conflict with another contribution. Header Tags.

I have been trying to find where to put this text:

<td align="left"><?php echo '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT, '', 'NONSSL') . '">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'oscommerce.png', PROJECT_VERSION) . '</a>'; ?></td>
<td align="right"><?php echo '<a href="java script:phpOnlinePopupWindow()">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'header_livesupport.gif', STORE_NAME . ' Live Support ') . '</a>'; ?></td>

I compared it to the file I changed earlier and came to the conclusion that it should be here:

<td valign="middle"><?php echo '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT) . '">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'TIFFANY925HEADER.jpg', (tep_not_null($header_tags_array['logo_text']) ? $header_tags_array['logo_text'] : STORE_NAME)) . '</a>'; ?></td>
<?php /*** End Header Tags SEO ***/ ?>

As you can see this has been altered previously to add the header tags contribution.

Can anyone give me an idea on how to alter the text so it will work correctly?

Don't worry, my mistake. I was being a gimp! Another thing though is that I can't get the rings to work. I presume they are supposed to make a noise when somebody tries to talk i.e. when they pop on screen. Any ideas?

Any ideas how I can make the ring tones work when somebody signs in? They just don't do anything at the minute.

Anyway the image indicator for some reason suddenly dissapeared from the infobox !!!!!!!!!!!!(but it works on an html page on onother domain)


I changed the file to point to the flash indicator and it works !!

I know I have to get the code that displays it into header.php and I know where to put it.

What I don't know is what code I need to get it to display correctly in the header.

Anyone placed this in their header ?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I used this code to place the image on the header:

but the image is not showing as well. I guess there's something to do with the statusimage.php?

I am having an interesting difficulty. I have installed the contrib. and just have not yet made it shown on my catalog side (I uses STS so I can just add it to my template where I want it) as I figured first I'd make sure the admin side is working.

I can click the link in admin and it loads the Live Support admin page just fine - I can log in and see the various things I can set, but I can't actually get it to keep any changes. I change the admin password but it doesn't keep the changes, I add several staff members but when I log out and log back in they are no longer there.

I double checked my live_support/config.php file and it has the same info as my includes/configure.php so it should be able to connect with the database. I didn't see any SQL files to run on the database though - am I missing an install step there, or am I missing something else? (I downloaded version 1_25)

Well - on a quick check via phpMyAdmin I just found the bvars table so apparently somewhere it is connecting to the database - but it isn't saving changes. I have also found cs, eventlog and msgdb tables with 0 rows of info so I'm guessing they come from this contribution as well?

Ok - found the installation file so now I know that is where those tables came from and that at least that section is correctly connecting to the database. I tried setting file permissions to the entire live_support folder to 777 but still doesn't seem to want to let me keep any changes. Just figured I'd post what I've tried so it may be easier to narrow down what I've missed - LOL

if page is blank most likely your database settings are wrong in config.php make sure there correct, make a new database if you didnt do this already
