Hey guys, I've been working on a commercial project for the past several years called Mercury Web Shipping. It enables you to create and print UPS, FedEx, and US Mail shipping labels from just about any shopping cart or backend. I just finished an integration contribution that will create a "Ship" button and populate all the data. All you have to do is click the "Ship" button and you are done.

Here is an example video

And, for more info, Click Here

I'm providing the integration contribution that will connect osCommerce to Mercury. Where can I post this?

Also, I'm looking forward to any comments or feedback.

Looks interesting.

You can add your contrib here: http://addons.oscommerce.com/

IMHO, and I am sure you spent a ton of time on the development, it is quite pricey. I can type a lot of labels manually for the dollar value. Plus there are free contribs to do the same thing.

Just my .02

We currently use ShipRush by Zfirm to print from our quickbooks but they recently setup an oscommerce / Zencart version that will pull the data by clicking a link in oscommerce and run the shipping software in a program based on the shipping company.

I do have a few questions after looking at the website and demo video:
1. When I click the ship button, am I spawning a piece of software on my local computer? I see there are 3 modules, one each for USPS, UPS & FedEx is this integrated into one window or would each module spawn a new window / program.
2. What about International Order handling, customs, etc? Are USPS, UPS & FedEx International methods handled?
3. What printers are handled?
4. How does the tracking information make it's way back into oscommerce or how is it stored? After shipping will a user still need to manually change their order state to shipped?
5. Is there a free trial of any kind so people can try it first?

Actually I just found the interactive demo and it looks like for my first question it is all in one program though I'm not sure where that program is run? Bringing everything together like that is nice so I don't have to open 3 different programs to see what shipped out based on the shipping company (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, etc.). On the surface the package looks really good and would be well worth the money.

I also would suggest creating a well-labeled contribution as most oscommerce users and new people will look there first. I would also recommend you do what is necessary to port to Zencart , oscMax & CREloaded (mostly minor code variations) to maximize your investment in the oscommerce community.
