It is best to delete the languages not supported on the store, to prevent customers viewing the store in a non-supported language that may contain false text.
This is especially true with the browser detection logic which sets the catalog language to the browser language automatically.
Just because the Languages box may have been removed from the catalog frontend does not mean that the language can no longer be changed.

You go to the Admin.
Click Localization
Click Languages
Click the language(s) you don't need
Hit delete
Confirm
Don't delete ALL languages
Click Localization
Click Languages
Click the language(s) you don't need

I just deleted all languages except the dutch one but my shop still displays english... how come? :?

I opened my shop in another window, so I think that's why it didn't help when I refresh my site a million times (not exactly
)
So when I entered my shop via "Online Catalog" in the admin tool, everything is in dutch!
