PayPal IPN/Gift Vouchers

I installed PayPal IPN - which was working. It captured the order under Admin/Orders and PayPal sent me a payment verification - though the order was never captured in the Paypal IPN transaction area. This didn't matter to me as I had the order and the verification that the order was paid.

Then I installed the CC/Gift Voucher module. Because orders weren't captured to the admin/paypal IPN area, gift vouchers weren't picked up as being ordered.

To fix this problem, I first disabled cURl as suggested by Pablo. This caused Paypal orders to show in the cart (but not in the PayPal IPN area), but told the customers the payment failed. Imagine their consternation. :)

Searching the forums I found the fix for this. I did indeed apply that fix - and now I'm notified that paypal payments were made BUT the cart isn't capturing the payments at all AND they don't show up of course in the Paypal IPN area.....

They also are not as far as I can tell in the paypal data base places.

EEEEKKK!!!

Now what??? Obviously I need to get Paypal IPN fixed.... reinstall from stratch??

All right - reinstalled PayPal IPN from scratch. The only thing I really did overall was take out the fix for payment failure from the forum that I read, and just made sure everything else was installed correctly. Left cURL disabled.

Orders are captured again, under orders. And I get a notify from Paypal that the payment was made.

Again, nothing in the admin/paypal ipn transactions area.

Orders are being written in paypal_temp_data.

paypalipn_txn is empty.
