I found a website offering free scripts to install into server for Live support [urlhttp://www.iaxx.com/LSscript.asp but the problem is its asp so i am not sure we can use this with php as it says to add a line above html as <---include confirm.asp---> and another problem is it uses access and I only have my sql. I guess if one of Guru can help and figure it out so we can add this to osCommerce shopping cart.[/url]

There are several PHP based solutions for this available. Not specifically for osCommerce but it would not be hard at all to implement it in the shop.

I know there is one contribution that allready did that with a free Live Help service. Check out the contribution section.

hello

we found one totally in php (no javascript, no java) we installed on our site for our customers. (www.palmsandgardens.org)

however it is not free. (they have 2 services: you pay by month and you use their hosted service , or you buy the code and install software on your server)

at present we choose for testeing their hosted solution but we think we will buy software as it is not so expensive and easier to manage (as well SSL can cause problems)

at present , we show live box only in the non SSL page

company is called http://www.phplivesupport.com/

I guess their are lots of those out there, but I was interested in this because this one is server side and installation is also very simple and best part is its totally free. Their are some other which offer live support for free like www.get1on1.com but they have some limitations too. With this one we dont have to worry about ssl or non ssl as this needs to be installed in same directory as oscommerce. The only problem is this is asp and uses access data base :?

Hello,

About 6 months ago I looked at just about every "live" solution going and finally ended up with the MySQL PHP Live Support.

You can get details of it here:

http://www.phplivesupport.com

Its already paid for itself many times over as we really have closed so many sales with it! - it live at www.firstaidsave.co.uk - give me a "live help" shout (credit control) if you want to see the interface. We are normally live 9-5pm

Cheers,

Graham
