I have a client that wants the credit card data saved into the database, the fields seem to be in the orders table, but are not populated when the data is entered. First question would be; what type of compliance should the client be meeting and second; how can I get OSC to save the credit card info so that the client can retreive it later?

If its the UK you need to check with the data protection registrar they would give you all the info you need, it gets a lot stricter once you start retaining data such as that from what I remember.
Is there any good reason why the client would want to retain such information? I personally wouldnt be to happy about stores reatinang that sort of data for no good reason.
